Redemption

Governed by the corporation's articles and the offering memorandum, including notice periods and the board's ability to defer.

Tax slips

MIC dividends are deemed to be interest under subsection 130.1(2) of the Income Tax Act and are reported on a T5. Slips are issued by the end of February for the preceding calendar year. Where shares are held inside a registered plan, no slip is issued to you — the plan trustee reports.

Changing your details

Address, banking and beneficiary changes go through your dealing representative, who is required to keep your know-your-client information current. Email the desk and we will connect you.
